Tanzania like any other country has got superstitions or local believes which people do believe on. Some of the current superstitions that are occurring now are as follows;
GOOD: In Tanzania local superstition leads people to believe Albinos bring luck and prosperity to those who come in contact with them.
- An albino spokesman said there was a belief that the condition was the result of a curse put on the family.
- Some witch-doctors also say they can use albino body parts in a potion to make people rich.

· BAD: Suspecting witches: As most of them were elderly women whose eyes had turned red from years of standing over cow dung cooking fires.
· Another woman I met believed traditional healers are responsible for whipping up hatred against suspected witches. People repeatedly spoke of a gang of killers paid to murder suspected witches.
